Classroom management is very effective one
to make a better learning environment, where teacher need to create conducive
classroom in order that to generate something that interest the students. But
there are some matters that make teacher feel difficult to handle the class
situation. Through this short essay we will to convey the result of interview
has been held in SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping, we have interviewed one of English teachers in there. The
English teacher we have interviewed named Ms. Asarika Fajarini. This school
still using KTSP Curriculum. We have also summarized the interview’s result into
some paragraphs in this part of essay.
Overall, when the learning activity
is underway the situation of classroom can be said as conducive enough. Teacher
we had been interviewed said that using appropriate teaching and learning
models in learning affect the atmosphere in classroom. Implementing the
learning model correctively can give the learning process more effective and
all the students participating actively the whole of learning process to attain
the expected competency level. The kinds of model implemented depend on the
lesson material will being teacher given. When student
feel bore, sometimes teacher bring in the game into learning and watching some
videos. It causes the learning activities can be followed by students without
feel bored and under pressure. So they will be active and focus on learning.
Making
a good atmosphere in classroom activities needs some steps either in
creating a learning model or the way teacher handles their student. Then, from
the interview there are two sides of obstacle within implementing the method
into learning as well. The first one is coming from student; some students seem
less of self-confidence. While the activity is about discussion out of
classroom, these students feel awkward, shame or confuse when teacher
implementing certain model. Thinking pattern between student mostly over
monotone or spend added time as much just only to get the content of lesson, so
that the time of model to be implemented become much longer. The other side is
the facilities of school, sometimes when teacher brings the certain model; it
is not worked as well because less of facilities must be included to implement
these models.
Teacher
who has been interviewed also answered our questions “How to motivating the students to attain their best achievement?” Basically, teachers have to develop the
method and model in learning and teaching process because the good method of
teaching will affect on the interest of student to following the learning
activities. Moreover, student is more aware about their needs and feeling
excited when they have entered the classroom doors to abreast learning process.
At
least, from the interview we have been held at SMK Muhammadiyah 6 Gamping we
conclude that to manage the classroom works as well, teacher must has the
capabilities to teach the student and avoid them from saturation and turns into
exciting learning so teacher can handle them and make everyone feel comfort
when they do the activities of learning.
